Craig's benches transcend furnishing styles. Each bench begins by cutting the highest quality Baltic birch plywood into a general figure. Craig then laminates several of these 2-dimensional shapes to create a 3-dimensional form. Each piece is free-hand carved using only hand tools after which several hours are spent sanding and smoothing the final shape. Finally the wood’s natural beauty is revealed with a hand-rubbed oil finish. See Alternate view for finish choices.
