A word from Northwestern Cutlery
Northwestern Cutlery has been sharpening knives for over 50 years.
Originally a knife rental and sharpening service for packing houses, restaurants and deli's, Northwestern Cutlery has evolved into a full service store for professional and amateur cooks alike. Often Called "A Candy Store for Cooks" by our customers, you can stop in and have your knives sharpened while you wait. While waiting, pickup that hard to find gadget, or add to your cutlery and cookware collection.

Free Shipping:
We offer free UPS Ground shipping on all orders over $50.00 anywhere in the contiguous United States. Destinations, such as Hawaii and Alaska are not included. Most of our products are shipped directly from our store unless otherwise stated. All orders received by 1:00 PM CST will be shipped out same day - providing product is in stock (In high volume periods such as the Christmas Holidays shipping times may increase.) After which, items will be shipped out the next business day. (Business days are Monday through Friday.) If you need an item by a certain date, please let us know and we will be happy to accommodate your needs. We make every effort to process all orders in a timely manner. We apologize for any inconvenience caused by factors out of our control. To ensure prompt, quality delivery service, please be generous and allot extra time for special events and/or during the holiday seasons. Please shop early to avoid any unforeseen mishaps!!
We Ship via UPS to all destinations within the 48 contiguous States:
UPS does not deliver to P.O. Boxes. Please use a valid street address to ensure prompt delivery. Expedited Shipping and/or Special Requests are available upon request, however, these fees are not covered by Northwestern Cutlery and will be processed at the actual UPS costs.
Heavy Weight/Over-Sized:
Shipping of any heavy or over-sized items, (i.e. as Cookware sets, large baking sheets) or extra heavy items (i.e. some cutting boards, some baking sheets) may be subject to additional freight charges.

The following refund policy applies to all products except those stating their own refund policy with the product description:
| • | Northwestern Cutlery offers a 30 days return policy on selected items based on manufacturer return policies. For further information not listed, please contact your Northwestern Cutlery account manager. |
| • | All products returned MUST: be 100 percent complete, contain ALL original boxes and packing materials, have original UPC codes on the manufacturer boxes, contain all manuals, blank warranty cards and other accessories and documentation provided by the manufacturer. |
| • | You are responsible for shipping charges on returned items; Northwestern Cutlery will match your shipping method on your replacement or exchange item(s). |
| • | Northwestern Cutlery strongly recommends you fully insure your return shipment in case it is lost or damaged and you use a carrier that can provide you with proof of delivery for your protection. |
| • | If merchandise arrives damaged: it is best to REFUSE it back to the carrier attempting delivery. If you accept the package make sure it is noted on the carrier's delivery record in order for Northwestern Cutlery to file a damage claim. Save the merchandise AND the original box and packing it arrived in, notify Northwestern Cutlery immediately to arrange for a carrier inspection and a pick up of damaged merchandise. If you do not notify Northwestern Cutlery of damaged goods within the first 15 days of arrival, our regular return policy will override any claim of damage, and will fall under all current manufacturer restrictions. Call 888-248-4449 or your Northwestern Cutlery account manager to arrange for carrier inspection and a pick up of damaged merchandise. |
| • | DEFECTIVE returns can be returned directly to Northwestern Cutlery within 30 days from the invoice date, at Northwestern Cutlery's discretion for: credit, replacement, exchange or repair. |
| • | Manufacturer restrictions do apply and are outlined in our detailed policy. Any item that is missing the UPC can ONLY be replaced with the same item. After 30 days, all manufacturers' warranties apply. |
| • | NON-DEFECTIVE returns can be accepted directly by Northwestern Cutlery within 30 days from the invoice date, at Northwestern Cutlery's discretion for: credit, exchange. All NON-DEFECTIVE returns are subject to a 0 percent restocking fee. |
| • | Due to manufacturers' policies, Northwestern Cutlery cannot accept returns of the following items for exchange, replacement or credit FOR ANY REASON: (Northwestern Cutlery exceptions). DEFECTIVE merchandise can be returned for REPAIR ONLY to: Northwestern Cutlery, the manufacturer direct or any authorized service center in your area. Additional manufacturers may be added to this list as: manufacturer policies change, manufacturer goes out of business or in the case of specially ordered items. |
Northwestern Cutlery reserves the right to authorize product returns beyond 30 days from the invoice date. IF the product is accepted after after 30 days and before 60 days, credit will be issued toward FUTURE PURCHASES ONLY. Original shipping charges are refunded on returned items. Customers are responsible for all shipping charges back to Northwestern Cutlery on returned items, and Northwestern Cutlery will pay the shipping charges on the replacement or exchange item(s) going back.
